





Seeds Dominik Hrbarty and Augustin Calleri were among the victims on day one of the Dutch Open in Amersfoort. Sixth seeded Hrbarty could not overcome Russia's Evgeny Korolev in three sets 6-3, 6-7(3), 6-3 while fifth seeded Augustin Calleri was demolished by Frenchmen Nicolas Devilder 6-3 6-1 in just 49 minutes. With his upset over Calleri, Devilder notched up just his 9th career win on the ATP tour.
Gilles Simon was also victorious in his round one encounter while Nicolas Massu was leading 5-4 before his match watch suspended due to the rain.
