





Belgian Dick Norman has put an end to Pakistan's Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi amazing run at Newport, which saw him knock out top seed Mardy Fish in the first round. Playing in their first match against each other, Norman needed three sets to eventually take victory 6-4 3-6 6-4 and book his maiden ATP semi final appearance.
Waiting for Norman will be France's Nicolas Mahut who also defeated a player from the sub-continent in Indian Prakash Amritraj, winning the match 6-4 7-6 (4).
Wesley Moodie also made it through to the semi finals, upsetting the last American remaining, Vince Spadea 6-4 6-4. The South African served ten aces to knock out the second seed.
Fabrice Santoro will be Moodie's next rival, with the Frenchman beating German Mischa Zverev 6-4 -63 in the pair's first meeting against one another.
