





Veteran Spaniard Carlos Moya has crushed Sweden's Tomas Johansson 6-2 6-3 to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Catella Swedish Open in Bastad. The former world number one, incredibly did not face a break point and only conceded five points on his first serve throughout the entire match. Moya will now face another Swede in Robin Soderling, who had a tight 6-3 5-7 7-6(4) win over Spain's Fernando Verdasco.
The only two other singles matches played today saw David Ferrer and Gilles Simon notch up wins over South Americans Nicolas Massu and Juan Monaco respectively. All quarterfinals are scheduled to be played tomorrow.
